Emma North - Deputy Conductor
Having sung in choirs from a young age, Emma continued to pursue her musical education by studying on the Hampshire pre-professional music course at The South Downs College before taking up a place at Bath Spa University specialising in performance. Whilst studying she played the flute, saxophone and sang in many of the department’s ensembles, performance highlights being Glass’s Satyagraha on the tour to the Netherlands, Mozart’s Magic Flute and Carmina Burana. Emma graduated in 2005 and after completing a PGCE in secondary music taught at Sheldon School, Chippenham. In Sept 2013 she took up the appointment of Head of Music at Kingdown School, Warminster. Emma sings soprano in Noctis Chamber Choir and has been musical director for numerous school productions including West Side Story, Grease and Oliver.
