Chorus raises £1163 in memory of Sarah
St Michael's church in Broad Street, Bath was packed on Saturday Aug 6th for a concert given by The Bath Chorus. The evening was in memory of Sarah Carlisle, a member of the choir who died of cancer last November aged 44. Members of her family attended the concert which raised £1,163 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Sarah's husband Alex chose this charity to benefit from the concert as his wife was cared for by Macmillan nurses in the later stages of her illness.
The choir of 60 voices sang a varied repertoire featuring music from across the ages. The soloist was violinist Lizz Lipscombe, accompanist Helen Roberts.
